New Eatery Will Offer Breakfast, Lunch, Take-Home Dinner, And Online Ordering

COLUMBUS (June 18, 2010) — Spinelli’s Deli is pleased to announce the opening of a second location at 50 North High Street between Broad and Gay Streets in Downtown Columbus. It’s scheduled to open the second week of September.

In addition to ever-changing seasonal dishes, the menu will be similar to the existing Spinelli’s Deli in Victorian Village. Breakfast items will include breakfast sandwiches, fresh-baked local pastries, muffins, and bagels, and locally roasted coffees. Lunch items will include fresh-made salads and soups, dozens of hot and cold sandwiches, pastas, and flatbread pizzas. Several take-home dinner options will also be available.

“It has been my dream to have a downtown deli since the day we opened our Neil Avenue location more than 10 years ago,” said Joe Spinelli, president of Spinelli’s.

“We worked hard in Victorian Village to become known as a community-oriented neighborhood deli and plan to do the same thing downtown.”

Upon being remodeled, the 2,000-square-foot urban space will feature free WiFi, barstyle seating, an outdoor patio, and a giant retractable window facing High Street.

The downtown deli will offer an easy online ordering and pickup system for patrons with short lunch times. People who place online orders will have a dedicated register from which to pick up their food. The deli will also stock a convenient grab-and-go cooler with fresh salads, fruit, sandwiches, and desserts.

The new Spinelli’s Deli will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Spinelli’s Deli currently has 25 employees and plans to add 20 more at its new location.
