Bodega has been a part of the Short North since 2005, when Sangeeta Lakhani and Collin Castore decided to share their take on good food and good beer. The neighborhood favorite got a makeover in 2014, reopening in April with a menu focused on house-smoked fried chicken. Almost all the food is made by scratch, using the best and freshest ingredients, locally grown seasonal produce and antibiotic-free/hormone-free meats.  

The drink list can be described as expansive. Bodega has won best beer selection, best happy hour and best overall bar honors over multiple years in the local publications such as Columbus Alive, 614 magazine. Bodega features a wide selection of craft beers on draft, several hundred Belgian and specialty craft beer bottles, an innovative cocktail menu, and a dozens of wines that complement any meal.
