Dine Originals Gift Certificates & Instagift FAQ

Great news! Dine Originals Columbus has a new and upgraded storefront for our gift certificate sales courtesy of our partners at Instagift! Instagift can now securely store your credit card information for one-click purchasing, which will make buying Dine Originals gift certificates easier and faster than ever!

However, these changes do mean your user experience will change slightly. We’ve put together a guide to some frequently asked questions to ensure your experience goes smoothly.

Q: Why do I have to log in before purchasing gift certificates? I’ve never had to log in before!

A: Our new and improved Instagift storefront is able to securely store your credit card information for quick and easy one-click buying, which will make future purchases a breeze! To protect your security, we now require buyers to log in before beginning their Dine Originals gift certificate purchase. (Previously, users would have only been required to log in afterward to print their purchases.)

Q: Do I have to sign up for an Instagift account before purchasing discounted gift certificates?

A: Yes, anyone who wishes to purchase discounted or group gift certificates through Dine Originals Columbus must first sign up for an Instagift account.

Q: I’m trying to sign up for an account to buy certificates and receiving a message that says “Error creating an account. That email has already been taken.” Why?

A: If you have purchased Dine Originals gift certificates through Instagift in the past, you already have an Instagift account and do not need to sign up again! If you are having problems logging in with an existing account, it’s likely that the password you are trying doesn’t match the password we have on file. Please click the “Forgot Password?” link just below the “Sign In” button on the login screen to reset your password.

Q: I’m trying to log in with an existing account but I am getting a “Login Unsuccessful” message. What’s going on?

A: You are likely using an outdated or incorrect password. Please click the “Forgot Password?” link directly below the “Sign In” button on the login page to reset your password via email.

Q: I’ve followed all of your advice and I’m still having trouble purchasing gift certificates! What should I do?

A: During normal business hours, Instagift offers Live Help, which allows users to message an Instagift representative directly while they are on the checkout screen. Instagift representatives can help troubleshoot login issues in real time and answer any questions you may have. Even if Live Help is not available, you can always email Instagift at support@instagift.com at any time with questions. Q: Can I present my discounted restaurant gift certificates on my mobile phone if I buy them through the new storefront?

A: No. Our discounted restaurant gift certificates are not yet available in mobile redemption form, and must be printed from a computer, as in the past, to redeem. 

Our group gift certificates, good at any Dine Originals Columbus restaurants, are available in an e-gift card format that can be redeemed on a mobile phone.

Q: What is your refund policy?

A: We will offer refunds within 5 days of purchase for any reason. In the case of a business closure, we are unable to offer a refund for your purchase. When you make your purchase, you are accepting the risk that if the business closes prior to your ability to use the voucher, you will not be issued a refund. The reason for this policy is simple... if we were required to indemnify buyers against the risk of a business closures, we would not be able to offer these specials.
